Rebels 4 Braves 3, Robinson Suspended

Ryan Aynsley's goal just shy of the 6-minute mark of the third period proved to be the difference as the Castlegar Rebels edged the Spokane Braves 4-3 in Washington state yesterday. Erik Wentzel, Erik Alden and Anthony DeLong also scored for Castlegar, while Alex Ross made 33 saves in goal in his second straight start. Mitch Fowler had 3 points in a losing effort with 2 goals and an assist.

Suspension: Rebels forward Tyler Robinson will sit out the next two games after being assessed with a checking from behind major and game misconduct in the dying seconds of yesterday's game. Ironically enough, he'll be eligible to return October 2nd, when the Rebels host Spokane. Robinson wasn't the only player hit by the league disciplinarian yesterday either, Braves defenceman Brycen Fisher will sit out a game after being tossed for checking from behind yesterday as well.

Up Next:
Castlegar welcomes the Grand Forks Border Bruins tomorrow night (7:30 PM, Complex).

Out Of Town: Osoyoos continued their hot start, going three for three on a weekend trip to Beaver Valley, Kimberley and Columbia Valley. They beat a depleted Rockies squad 6-3 yesterday. Beaver Valley won again, this time 3-1 at home over Grand Forks.
