Rebels forward Spencer Brodt has been suspended for four games after incurring a gross misconduct on Saturday night against Beaver Valley. The incident occurred just shy of the 12-minute mark of the third period, when Brodt was assessed a minor penalty for slashing after a wild scramble in front of the Beaver Valley net.
Brodt will miss this weekend's games against Nelson and Grand Forks, as well as next weekend's matchups against Spokane and Fernie. He's eligible to return when the Rebels visit the Ghostriders on October 29th.
Stay tuned for (long-awaited) audio from Saturday night, as well as coach Steve Junker's take on how the suspension will affect the club.
