Even though it was two days ago, Saturday's 5-2 home win over Beaver Valley is surely still resonating with the Rebels. Spencer Brodt's winner in the first minute of the third period was just one of the 5 unanswered goals Castlegar scored after falling behind 2-0 early on. Ryan Aynsley scored twice, Erik Wentzel and Arthur Andrews added singles, and Andrew Walton made 22 saves in goal for the victory.
I've just gotten back into town after leaving for the long weekend right after the game Saturday night. Stay tuned as I'll have more tomorrow, including audio from coach Steve Junker and Andrews.
