Rebels 5 Leafs 0

Sorry for the late update, internet issues plus spending the night in Nelson last night didn't afford me the opportunity to update sooner..

Ryan Aynsley's hat-trick paced Castlegar to a 5-0 whitewash of the Leafs last night at the Civic Centre. It was a night set aside to celebrate Nelson's hockey heritage, but many in the large crowd left with long faces as the Rebels played, in the words of all of the coaching staff, one of their most complete games of the season.

Tyler Robinson and Anthony DeLong also scored, while Andrew Walton stopped everything that came his way for his third shutout of the season (and second against the Leafs).

Castlegar now sits 4 points out of first place thanks to a three-for-three weekend by Beaver Valley, though the Rebels (19-5-0-0) have 6 games in hand.

Stay tuned to Mountain FM and this blog tomorrow and Tuesday for player movement news ahead of the December 1st cut-down date. I'm told at least two deals are on the table, and two more transactions are done, but won't be announced until tomorrow at the earliest.
