A good start to a busy weekend as Castlegar dispatched Kimberley 5-3 in the East Kootenay tonight. Anthony DeLong converted a scramble play in front of the net to break a 2-2 tie midway through the second period, giving Castlegar a lead they would not relinquish.
The story of the game though, has to be Dynamiters 'tender Jeremy Muosseau, who stopped (unofficially) 46 shots in the Kimberley net, making several ten-bell saves. The 16 year-old was denied his first KIJHL victory in four starts, however.
Up Next: Princeton, at home, tomorrow night (7:30, Complex).
Out of Town: Nelson defeated Spokane 6-4, adding further fuel to the Rebels/Braves first-round playoff matchup possibility.
